Latent Faith in Religious Beliefs

We - on this path - are no longer religious. We are spiritual. Spirituality is at the base of everything. Spiritual understanding opens up your Mind. Once you step onto the spiritual path (understanding), you do not need to STEP BACK onto a religious path, although it's not wrong to do so at all. It's just redundant.

However, for those who may have been religiously inclined in the past, it is possible that you have (what I like to call) some latent faith (if not active faith) in certain religious practices - subtly and subconsciously.

Unless you've started detesting what you practiced in the past (which is highly NOT recommended), you can MAKE USE of those latent beliefs, if any, in your favor. One way of knowing that is that you naturally tend to feel good (and you don't feel bad) on practicing something religious that you may have practiced in the past - like some stotras, mantras, going to certain temples, mosques, churches, hanging photos or keeping idols in the house, etc.

Feeling even a tinge of hatred for anything from the past is the blunder that can destroy your present. That's the key point that many people miss. You have to LET GO of your past. Not HATE it. That's a mistake that many "spiritual" people do. There are organizations that may either suck you back into religious ideas or some others that may instil hatred in your Mind about those religious practices. They're missing the whole point.

Here's Shri Venkatesh Stotra (Marathi) in Sagar's voice for anybody who'd like to enjoy listening to it in a light-hearted and 'faithful' manner.
