Hotel Radhika Palace, Satara - Review
Very glad about my stay here Been here during the last weekend of November 2011 (26-27-Nov)
CITY: I'd been to Satara in the last weekend of November 2011 (26-27-Nov) for nature photography with a photography enthusiast buddy. The hotel is at Radhika Road, a bit before you enter the main Satara city, however, being unaware, we went inside the city and came back. It was very much on our way and we simply didn't notice it while leaving the NH-4 from Pune and going into the city.
HOTEL & STAY: We initially went to Hotel Rajtara that is good-looking from outside and quite visible from the main road, however, it was a little expensive, and the staff was too busy to address us. But I inquired with Rajtara and then went walking on the Radhika Road towards Hotel Radhika (that I'd initially searched the Internet, and thanks to this website for here I got some good reviews) We checked the rooms of Rajtara and then Hotel Radhika too before checking in, to be sure they're clean and stayable. They were really very clean, decent, spacious and good-looking. Rooms in the previous hotel were equally good, but donno why their cost was higher than Hotel Radhika. We decided to check-in.
We took an Ex-Deluxe room that costed us Rs. 1,200/- (Double Occupancy) Very nice stay. They're co-operative people, but it's always good to check the room first and tell them to give you the same room.
FOOD: I am a pure vegetarian, so I LOVED the food. I also complimented them. Stomach full veg thali for Rs. 110 (weekdays) and Rs. 120 (weekends) with sweet dish extra. Just wish that the waiters looked a little bit cleaner and hygienic, but the food was of very very good quality, taste, and hygiene. Stomach full.
STAFF: Very courteous, helpful, friendly
PARKING: They have less parking space. They woke me up at 4 AM to move my car for another guest who was leaving in his car parked behind mine. Otherwise, not too much of an issue.
We were happy we did not go to Hotel Rajtara.
