I feel very happy when someone asks genuine questions in the Comments Section.
Today's question is, "Since having sex for pleasure is wrong, then why is Social Media so sexualized? Why does nobody oppose to it? Why have they kept us dangling?"

The first line is, "Since having sex for pleasure is wrong..." It is not wrong. It is considered as wrong. Even I have never called it wrong. It is considered as wrong. Why? There's a very simple reason behind that.
We or our parents or their parents never really think deeply, because nobody has the time to do that. It doesn't take too much time to think a little deeply. Just 2 seconds.
It is considered as wrong, because it is a very addictive activity. Once you start doing it, then coming out of it is very difficult. Which is why pre-marital sex is discouraged. Which is why child marriage is discouraged as well. Now, of course, there are many other reasons behind Child Marriage discouragement, but if - in front of you - I keep sweets, an illegal substance, which is addictive, and sex, then - out of the three - you will choose sex. We, sometimes, keep our food aside as well, isn't it?
Addiction to sex is much stronger than Drug Addiction. And Drug Addicts are, actually, sex-deprived people. Now, this may sound like a very bizarre statement, but think about it - one whose sex life or intimate life is very good, usually, you'll see that that person is not addicted to other things. Now, people from the Gen Z will not agree to this until it comes printed in books.
So, you don't need books. You just need Common Sense. You just need a little deep thinking to understand that as far as sex is concerned, it is a very natural desire. It is a natural desire of every human being - directly or indirectly. So, if you want to do it - OR, basically, if the thought to do that comes into your Mind, and you're unable to get it in life, then that is where the problem starts. That is where every other problem [sniggers] in the world starts.
What is Social Media? It is the reflection of the Society, isn't it? May be it is a little Fake reflection. May be it is a little Exaggerated reflection. May be it is an Unfair reflection. May be an Extrapolated reflection. But it is a reflection only, isn't it?
If, in case, in India, out of 1.4 Billion people, 1 Billion people were above the age of 50, then the maximum population on the Social Media would've been from that age group only, isn't it? Then would that kind of content be consumed by teenagers? Not necessarily.
Similarly, today, because teenagers are the maximum in India, so, that kind of content floats more, which is why people from my age group are very less, which is why my type of content is not consumed that much by people, because they can't relate.
Many people say to me, "Sagar, you're out of my league." In terms of age, in the sense, a 17-year-old wouldn't really consume the content created by a 40-plus-year-old guy. That won't even make sense to the teenager, isn't it?
Today that we blame YouTube or Instagram... In fact, someone had filed a case against Google, because he failed an examination, because a sexually suggestive Ad was shown to him. The High Court fined him saying that the case is very frivolous, and that their time is being wasted there. The Court also said that nobody had forced you to open the App.
What Kareena Kapoor said about nobody having forced you (to watch a movie)... that was very very true. People spewed hatred on her, but what she said was very very true. Nobody has forced us.
Earlier, that sexually suggestive content was (just) on the Internet. Before that it used to appear on the television. Before that in magazines. I've seen it in all these four formats [chuckles].
I've not sat and watched it, but I've come across that. But we chose (to watch it), isn't it? As to which channels to watch on the television, and for how long to watch television. Similarly, we have to choose as to WHAT to consume and HOW MUCH to consume. 'Do I want to learn something and improve myself? Or just waste my life and destroy my time?' You are the chooser.
So, you asked, "Why have they kept us dangling?" Nobody has kept us dangling. YouTube's or Instagram's CEO didn't come to our house asking us to install their Apps and get addicted to them, isn't it? We chose to do that. May be we have kept ourselves dangling. However, it is in our hands, isn't it, as to how many times to open it and with what intention.
That is why PURPOSE plays a very important part here. Like it is famously said, "Depressed people come on the Social Media with the hope to cure their depression, however, they get even more depressed because of the Social Media.", isn't it? So, you don't have to be that kind of a person.
Setting GOALS in your own life, and working towards them with the understanding that distractions were there in the past, and they are present today as well. Whether to get distracted or not is in my hands.
Last point that you've written is, "Why does nobody oppose to it?" Yes, regulations should be there, for sure, but opposition doesn't really lead to anything. Whatever we try to oppose impacts us negatively the most.
For example, people who like killing mosquitoes i.e. they run behind mosquitoes with that Anti Mosquito Racquet. What happens is that such people only get bitten by mosquitoes and fall sick, for sure. So, you don't have to run behind mosquitoes, find each and every one and kill them. Just sit at one place, and burn a Mosquito Repellent Coil. That's it.
There is so much content. Such a huge variety of content. You have to choose what to watch and how much to watch. You have to selectively sift as to what you want to go online and do. It comes down to you. There are so many things in this world that we can oppose, but what all will we oppose!?
So, if you want to learn something, then you can go online and learn it.
If you want to make friends, then you can make friends online.
If you want to just have fun and share jokes, you can do that as well.
If you don't want to use it, then you can do that as well.
I cannot end the answer to this question without saying this. For example, if I am empowered, and I misuse that power. If I discriminate. If I conduct unfairness. If I suppress talented people, and promote my non-talented contacts e.g. brother, sister, cousin, friend-of-friend, then I HAVE TO pay the penance for that. unfairness. There's no doubt about that.
